After treatment
During treatment, after removing mould damage the deed, which
has 2 attached skins bound together by seals, is treated; it is
gently flattened to remove distortions.

Animal skins are very sensitive to
environmental fluctuations and
can distort as is visible in this
photograph. Such distortions will
damage inks and pigments.
